“LIKE” San Antonio
This holiday season, Walmart is giving Americans an opportunity to select cities they want to receive $1.5 million in funds to help fight hunger. From now through December 31, people can visit Walmart’s Facebook page to choose from a list of the top 100 communities where hunger rates are the highest. The city with the most votes of support will receive $1 million in grants and the next five cities with the highest support will receive $100,000 each.
San Antonio currently is in 3rd place and is just clicks away from bringing $1 million to San Antonio.
Visit the Fighting Hunger site. Once there, click on “Like A Community” and then search for San Antonio to vote.
Next, tell everyone you know! Forward this blog, send them an e-mail, post a message to your Facebook wall and ask your family, friends and coworkers to “Like” San Antonio.
This award will benefit several hundred hunger fighting agencies in San Antonio including the San Antonio Food Bank, the Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels and many more.
Please share with all those you know and help fight hunger in our community. It’s quick…it’s easy…but it will take our community mobilizing on the world wide web to get it done.
