More than one-thousand clients pass through the San Antonio Food Bank’s (SAFB) lobby each month needing food and government assistance. Rather than waiting in the long lines at the local state offices, clients can walk into the SAFB knowing that they will be seen by our Client Services department within the hour.
The Client Services department at the SAFB provides a “one-stop-shop” for clients in need of assistance. Applying for government assistance is done electronically, and for some this can be a difficult process to understand. Our bilingual staff assists over 10,000 clients per month over the phone and in person so that they have a smooth process when applying for government assistance. In addition to registering clients for government assistance, Client Services also helps clients get food assistance and refers families to any programs or resources that may be of use to them.

Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. & Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
